BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on all aspects of the prevention, diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal disorders, as well as related molecular genetics, pathophysiology, and epidemiology. Studies investigating the systemic nature of rheumatic diseases, not related to specific musculoskeletal manifestations, are directed to submit to BMC Rheumatology.

As a BMC Series journal, BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders does not make editorial decisions based on the perceived interest or potential impact of a study. Manuscripts are considered for publication if they are scientifically valid.
