Welcome to my homepage

I graduated from the mathematics department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, at 1999. I received my M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the same university in 2002 and 2006 respectively. From 2007 till 2008, I served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, University of Athens, Greece. Since 2009, I teach mathematics in several greek highschools. My current research interests lie in the areas of Machine Learning, Fractals, Wavelets Signal and Image Processing.

I have coauthored 18 articles in various international scientific journals with high impact factors like the IEEE Trans. on Image Proc., IEEE Trans. on Signal Proc., IEEE Trans. on Neural Networks, Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, Journal of Approximation Theory, IMA Journal of Applied Mathematics, e.t.c. I have also co-authored 8 proceedings' papers and a book. I received the ICPR Best paper award (2010) and two scholarships. Since 2010 I serve as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks. I am a member of the ���� and the Computational Inteligence Society.
