At a Komeda's Coffee in Taipei, Taiwan. We are all getting the breakfast special with red bean - two with large coffees, one with a cold chocolate milk. "This reminds me of Friendly's!," I say. We walk down the street. "I used to think it was funny that in other countries places like Friendly's were seen as ASPIRATIONAL." On our last weekend we get three breakfast specials PLUS an order of toast with butter and jam. We walk down the street again. "Now I don't," I say.

A 5th grader has learned about chivalry at Medieval Times. He says it's when knights give a poor peasant their food, but wouldn't real chivalry be dismantling the feudal system that keeps the serfs oppressed? Good luck finding some knights who will go with that.
