Hi 👋 I'm Stuart. I've walked the path you're on now.

In 2007, I started Mobile Defense. Nine years later, we sold the company to Assurant (NYSE: AIZ) after scaling to more than 30 million users worldwide. Our clients included mobile carriers, cable operators, and major OEMs. Along the way, I learned what it takes to build a company from the ground up, scale under pressure, and navigate the challenges that come with limited resources and high expectations.

After the acquisition, I spent several years leading product development teams at Assurant. When that chapter ended, I returned to what I do best: building early-stage companies. That led me to start Glider Capital, where I invest in founders and bring hands-on operating experience to fill critical gaps. Sometimes that means leaning in technically, turning AI-generated apps into enterprise-ready products. Other times it's partnering with founders on operations, hiring key team members, or building agentic workflows to accelerate execution.

My involvement naturally evolves as companies grow, often shifting into a trusted sounding board for key decisions. The goal is to be useful at inflection points that shape the business.
