hi, I'm Whisper!

I'm an artist based in Los Angeles, working across poetry, performance, software, and hardware. I dream of computing that feels like augmented presence, cultivated through generations of loving care. Lately, my work has been almost entirely collaborative, with my partner Hal as Resonant.love, and with my friends in Secret Server Club.

This site is hosted on a pair of tiny servers on either side of the LA river. Tartlet lives at the studio I share with Nat and Hal, and Secret hides in the closet at Plot in Chinatown. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you can see which one is serving you today!

I am a 2025-2026 Supercollider Sci Art Ambassador Fellow, a 2024 Eyebeam Democracy Machine Fellow, and a Y10 Incubator Member in New Inc's Extended Realities track. I am also a co-steward of New Art City, an online art space that I co-founded with Don Hanson and Benny Lichtner in 2020, which now hosts over 100,000 digital artifacts across thousands of virtual spaces.

I'm better known for my previous avatar, Sammie Veeler. Sammie still serves a tactical purpose: her SEO is immaculate. Nobody else has her name. I only use Whisper on domains I control, and I have mostly been propagating the IRL DNS manually. Zuck doesn't get to know my name. I put off publishing this site for some time because I was afraid of the real DNS, but I'm proud to say that fear has long since passed.
