The DREAM Act is not yet in the grave

As Mickey Kaus writes in Newsweek, the DREAM Act was passed by the House last week and the Senate could have a vote on it at any time. Only the shortage of enough senators to pass the bill has prevented Sen. Undead of Nevada, the Majority Leader, from bringing it up for a vote. But this doesn’t mean he won’t get the senators he needs. Kaus writes: “[Undead] doesn’t have to call a vote on DREAM unless he thinks he can win, and he only has to win once. Meanwhile, anti-DREAM anti-amnesty forces have to play perfect defense.” NumbersUSA is urging members to keep calling their senators.
