As a Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) and Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) holder, Técnico is recognized as a leader within the maritime industry for ship maintenance, repair and modernization; as well as, fabrication and scaffolding.
Ship Repair
Full-service ship repair, maintenance, and modernization solutions for all classes of ships, including U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and Commercial vessels.
Habitability
We specialize in delivering major upgrades to living, messing, and services spaces to create comfortable and functional environments. Our custom solutions cater to unique ship and customer requirements, including the design, manufacturing, and installation of shipboard joiner systems, customized living spaces, galley facilities, mess halls, lavatories/heads, ventilation systems, and more.
Fabrication
We provide a full range of fabrication capabilities. We specialize in precision sheet metal fabrication for maritime products, assemblies, and parts. With in-house manufacturing capabilities including sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, laser cutting, welding, painting, and design engineering capabilities. We have the facilities, equipment and staff to tackle projects from simple shapes to complex structures.
Modernization
Técnico brings new technologies to the fleet through shipboard alterations and installations that support Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) and Electronic systems. We are the on-ship installer and integrator: we perform waterfront installation efforts of new equipment and state of the art technologies while maintaining seamless systems integration.
Scaffolding
Operating as “Empire Scaffolding Services,” this division was created by Técnico to expand our array of shipboard services, and we have established a goal to service all of our customers marine, industrial, and specialty scaffolding/containment needs, large and small.

Our administrative overhead staff serves as the backbone of our success, the hidden support element that helps drive the success of Técnico. We take pride in offering a comprehensive range of services, all fully compliant with FAR/DFAR regulations.

Sustaining the shipbuilding heritage with a program designed to build a workforce of skilled journeymen. Upon completion, students receive a Journeyman Card and a Maritime Certificate of Achievement.
