Boxing returns to primetime on the BBC. BOXXER is proud to announce the first event in our landmark new broadcast partnership with BBC Sport. On Saturday 25 October, live professional boxing returns to primetime television on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer as Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV meet in a blockbuster battle for the prestigious British Heavyweight Title at the Vaillant Arena, Derby. This partnership represents a landmark moment for the sport: free-to-air access for millions of fans across the UK, building on BOXXER’s commitment to bring world-class events and opportunities for fighters to the biggest and widest audiences possible. The British Heavyweight Title is one of boxing’s most coveted prizes. The winner will follow in the footsteps of heavyweight greats such as Henry Cooper, Lennox Lewis, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua by claiming the prestigious Lonsdale Belt. On October 25th, a new champion will be crowned live in front of the nation with BOXXER and the BBC.

BOXXER today announced the renewal of its partnership with competition and prize platform, That Prize Guy, extending a collaboration that is established as a core part of BOXXER’s fan engagement strategy. The agreement sees That Prize Guy continue as BOXXER’s Official Competition & Prizes Partner following a successful partnership that has delivered high-profile event activations, digital campaigns and exclusive prize opportunities for fans.  The partnership renewal follows the announcement of BOXXER’s new free-to-air broadcast partnership with the BBC, which will see professional boxing return to primetime Saturday night television for the first time in two decades.

BOXXER x BBC Making history. Again. Today, BOXXER has announced an exclusive free-to-air partnership with the BBC that will put boxing back on primetime, free-to-air, Saturday night television. Almost a century after the BBC first broadcast live boxing in 1933, this ground-breaking deal returns the sport to the population, reaching tens of millions of households on free-to-air TV. It opens up boxing to the widest possible audience and an entirely new generation of fans beyond television via BBC iPlayer, the BBC Sport website and app, BBC Sounds, and the BBC Sport social channels. For fighters, it’s the ultimate stage: a powerful platform to grow a national following and become household names overnight.
