Bio

Northern Ireland’s Fergal Quinn beat former professional Dean Young 4-1 in the final round of the 2025 Q School to earn professional status for the first time.

Aged 25, the cueist from County Tyrone also defeated former Crucible qualifier Ashley Carty at Q School en route to his success in Leicester.

Quinn has previously competed in both the 2023 and 2024 Championship League events, picking up a notable victory over Hossein Vafaei in the first of these.

He was invited to play in the qualifying rounds for the 2025 World Championship, where he lost in a deciding frame to Liam Graham, after reaching the semi-finals of that years World Snooker Federation (WSF) Championship in Morocco.
