About the Flag

Ultra-Brag AG is also established at Basel (second url is English version):
http://www.ultra-brag.ch/
http://www.ultra-brag.ch/index_e.html and the description provided certainly seems familiar, having been founded in 1925 and being an internationally active Swiss logistics and river navigation firm domiciled in Basel but there is no evidence of a house flag I believe the company logo would be nice on a flag, that is certain and anyway the similarity of names may be accidental.

See a fitting house flag on the Kustvaartforum (i.e. coastal shipping forum) site, fifteenth flag photo, lower left corner: http://www.kustvaartforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=173&highlight=rederijvlaggen.

Red hoist taking up one third of the field, a white couped cross in the upper part (representing Switzerland) and blue fly with white chevron pointing away from the hoist. The chevrons sides and point touch the flags edges.

Actually a table flag, its existence as a real-life one is vouched for, I feel, by the fact that is appears in above collection belonging to Karl Scherf I saw it at Duisburg last summer.

Ultra

Ultra may have been a predecessor of Ultra-Brag: http://www.debinnenvaart.nl/schependb/inhoud.php?action=tel&id=6413. It is not Ultra Brag as it says on this Binnenvaart page but simply Ultra as can be read on the house flag illustrated.

Red field, white off-centred cross, the word ULTRA in black letters on the white arms of the cross (vertically and horizontally, the T being in common, no serifs).

There once was a firm Ultra AG at Basle, Switzerland (founded when?); it operated a grain silo there; in 1991 it went into liquidation (at Bern). It may have been taken over by Brag, from then on called Ultra-Brag.

Although above page shows the flag as a drawing, I have not found any photos it oddly does not appear on the Binnenvaart flag table.
