Moyen-Ogoou� Province is named after the Ogoou� River. It covers an area of 18,535km�
and has 70.000 inhabitants. The provincial capital is Lambar�n�, which
known for the world-renowned hospital founded there in 1913 by the Franco-German
Nobel Peace Prize winner, Albert Schweitzer (1875�1965).
Moyen-Ogoou� is divided into 2 departments:
Abanga-Bigne (Ndjole)
Ogooue et les Lacs (Lambar�n�).

The provincial flag, as seen during the 2016 inauguration of the President of Gabon, is white with the provincial coat-of-arms occupying 4/5 of the height in the centre.
The azure wavy fess symbolizes the river Ogoou� and the
three besants represent the lakes of the region. Elephant are present in the
area.
