The flag is approx. 3:5 (a ratio shared by many, if not all, El Salvador
subnational flags), light blue and white. A central light blue panel is
surrounded by four vertical stripes on either side, alternating white and light
blue, each as wide as 1/8th of the flags height; on the central panel a white
rectangle charged with the coat of arms, its width 5/12ths of the flags height
and its
height approx. 3/5ths of the same. Overall specs are therefore 3:5 =
24:(3+3+3+3+16+3+3+3+3) = (24+72+24):(15+15+15+15+15+50+15+15+15+15+15).
San Alejo is Castillian for the Catholic minor deity known in English as Saint
Alexis [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexius_of_Rome].
