The District of Capira (45,255 inhabitants in 2016, 5,181 in the town of
Capira; 97,700 ha) is located central-western Panam�.

The flag of Capira is prescribed by Agreement No. 13, adopted on 12 September
2013 by the Municipal Council and published on 26 May 2014 in the Panam�
official gazette, No. 27,542-A.
The flag is described in the Agreement�s
Preamble:
The flag of the District of Capira, featuring the district�s
colors, green and yellow, is a quadrilateral of transverse shape, yellow on top,
green on bottom; in the center, the silhouette of the district�s coat of arms,
in the background the district�s most representative sign, Cerro Trinidad
(Trinity Hill) with a radiating sun that supports 13 stars symbolizing the 13
corregimientos [Capira, Caimito, Campana, Cerme�o, Cir� de Los Sotos, Cir�
Grande, El Cacao, La Trinidad, Las Ollas Arriba, L�dice, Villa Carmen, Villa
Rosario, and Santa Rosa] composing the district, between two branches of laurel,
symbol of the triumph aspired by the inhabitants, in the flag�s background the
motto granted to the inhabitants, in letters or, "CAPIRA TIERRA DE LA GENTE
BUENA" [Capira, Land of Good People]. The designer of the flag is Pr. Carlos
Manuel Hidalgo Aparicio, with advice and recommendation by Master Iv�n Ulises
Sauri.
