Amrita Institute of Medical Science, in association with the Indian Chitin and Chitosan Society and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, is organizing the International Conference on Chitin and Chitosan and the 12th Annual Indian Chitin and Chitosan Society Conference ICCS–2026, January 30 and 31, 2026, at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi.
The conference will bring together key national and international researchers, academicians, industry experts, and students, comprising keynote lectures, industry talks, oral, and poster presentations, and recognitions with young researcher awards. In keeping with its commitment to science and technology for human benefit, the conclave at Amrita aims to foster knowledge sharing, innovation, and collaborative research among various stakeholders.

Criteria: Research student with a minimum 5 as the total impact factor of their publications. The application should be forwarded by the student’s Guide & each guide/Faculty should recommend only one student. Students should send their CV with details of their publications and other achievements as a single PDF file to the email address provided below.
Criteria: The Researcher should have a high research profile in the field of chitin/ chitosan. Also, the researcher should have a minimum of 50 as the total impact factor of his/her publications. Preference will be given to researchers who are involved in product development in the field of chitin/chitosan. Scientist/Researcher can individually send their CV with details of their publications and other achievements as a single PDF file to the email provided below.
Criteria: This award is for students or postdoc researchers (below 40 yr) working on chitin/chitosan related to any aspect and published papers in a high-impact journal (from India) (or exceptionally transferred a technology related to chitin/chitosan to the industry) in the previous calendar year. The recipient preferably should be a member of the society and should attend the meeting and give a talk to receive the award. The award is not given in absentia. Application should include: Covering letter highlighting the contribution (max. 150 words), a Brief CV, a list of publications and subject-related reprints (not more than 5); names of 2 referees who can give additional information, if required. One signed hard copy and the same as a soft copy can be submitted to the email provided below.
