Red Bull Junior driver Fionn McLaughlin moved closer to securing the British F4 championship after extending his lead in the standings in the penultimate weekend of racing at Silverstone.
The 17-year-old, who secured the rookie championship in August, secured his fifth win of the championship in race one on Saturday as he held off the challenge of Tommy Harfield.
Starting in third on the grid, McLaughlin had moved up to first by the end of the opening lap, where he stayed for the remainder of the race despite pressure from Harfield.
He retired from the second race early on Sunday and in the third race, Harfield pipped the Northern Irish driver midway through with a move down the inside to earn a second victory of the season.
Hitech Racing driver McLaughlin now holds a margin of 61.5 points over nearest challengers Jimmy Piszcyk and Martin Molar, who are both on 257 points in the overall standings.
The final round of racing will take place at Brands Hatch on 4-5 October with 80 points still on offer.
