ADHER
HERITAGE AS POTENTIAL
Existing buildings are a resource for architecture. Our work aims to reveal the potential of what is already there. Through the mastery and research of analytical and design methods and tools, the capacity of heritage to transform itself can be brought to light. Between restoration and creation, by way of transformation, the focus is on finding new modes of intervention: hybrid, multidisciplinary and contextualized.
MODERNITY IN HERITAGE
Today, the heritage that reaches us in greater numbers is a product of modernity. Demolition is no longer an option. We must work with these buildings, predominantly made of concrete and glass, sometimes dilapidated, often poorly insulated, and obsolete in terms of program and function. This field of investigation extends from the restoration of concrete to the adaptation of existing structures to new uses, including a focus on the energy performance of these buildings.
