Dorsal spines (total): 1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11; Anal spines: 1; Anal soft rays: 11; Vertebrae: 37. This species is distinguished from all its congeners by the following set of characters: D1 absent; D2 I/11; A I/11; pectoral fin rays modally 16 and with one upper, very short free soft ray; vertebral count 16 + 21 = 37; head and body with many rounded light creamy white spots above creamy yellow background (Ref. 86740).
Body shape (shape guide): fusiform / normal; Cross section: oval.
Found among gravels at the rapids which are in the most lower reaches in the freshwater area on the river (Ref. 86740).
