Knife attack sparks arrest in Roman Road, Ramsgate

Two women have been hurt after they were allegedly knifed by a man who is later thought to have driven into a nearby house.

The incident happened earlier this morning, according to police who say they were called at 6.31am to a report of a disturbance in Roman Road, Ramsgate.

The victims suffered injuries from a knife attack but they are not thought to be serious.

Afterwards, the suspect allegedly left before returning a shortly after in a car which hit a nearby house.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Officers attended and arrested a 29-year-old man, who has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

"Enquiries into the circumstances behind the incident are ongoing."
