  • Congratulations to Intel Corporation!

Big News from Intel Corporation today as the company plans to enter high-volume production for its Panther Lake chips – the brains that run computers or other electronic devices – at its Ocotillo plant right here in #ChandlerAZ at Fab 52 later this year. Panther Lake is the company’s first product built on Intel 18A, which the company claims is the most advanced semiconductor process ever developed and manufactured in the U.S. This is a huge step, not just for Intel, but for our region’s role in the semiconductor industry. City of Chandler, Arizona has long been an essential hub in the semiconductor and high-tech ecosystem, and developments like this reinforce that Chandler is the Community of Innovation. We congratulate Intel and all partners on this milestone. • Meet David, a true cornerstone of city infrastructure, and this week's Team Chandler Spotlight! This September marked 13 years of keeping our streets safe and clear. As part of the Traffic Division's technician team, David is in the field installing, maintaining and repairing the electrical heart of Chandler's 235 traffic intersections. When a light goes out or there’s a malfunction, David and his team are the quick-thinking problem solvers who restore flow, ensuring you can get to work, school and home smoothly and safely. He's currently working on upgrading older traffic signal cabinets to more advanced ATCC technology—a challenge he welcomes that means an even smarter, more efficient traffic network for all residents. Thank you, David, for your dedication to Team Chandler! 🚦

  • Congratulations on breaking ground on Envision 56, Opus!

Construction is underway on Envision 56, a new 125,000 sq. ft. Class A industrial project by Opus taking shape in #WestChandler. This development offers rare, modern single-user spaces ideal for smaller tenants, filling a gap in the market focused mostly on large buildings. Located near I-10 and Loop 202, Envision 56 strengthens Chandler’s position as a business-friendly hub. Mayor Kevin Hartke says, “Opus’ investment supports Chandler’s long-term growth,” and Economic Development Director Micah Miranda adds, “This project reflects strong demand and bolsters our local economy.” The development is expected to be completed in June 2026. • A huge shoutout to Officer Fairchild, Police Aide Basurto and Off-duty Firefighter Rios for a response that proves sometimes, the stars align to prevent disaster. While on a routine patrol, Ofc. Fairchild noticed black smoke rising from a neighborhood just as dispatch reported a house fire. With PA Basurto by his side, they quickly made their way to the scene, where off-duty Firefighter Rios joined them. Together, they evacuated the homeowner and children, alerted neighbors and, using a garden hose and a department fire extinguisher, worked to contain the fire before fire and police units arrived. Their perfectly timed action was instrumental in saving lives and minimizing damage. We're proud to celebrate this incredible example of courage and perfect timing. Well done, gentlemen. We're lucky to have you on Team Chandler! Chandler Police Department - AZ
