We are proud to share that our City Administrator, James Clifford, was recognized as one of the Top 100 Influencers in Local Government during the North Augusta City Council Study Session on July 14th. This prestigious honor from ELGL is a powerful testament to his exceptional leadership. (https://lnkd.in/erB8fB-d) In a world where public service leadership often goes unnoticed, it’s refreshing—and rare—to be guided by someone whose values, integrity, and competence are so transparent in every action. Congratulations, Jim! Your recognition is well‑deserved, and we’re lucky to have you steering North Augusta toward a stronger, more resilient future. #Leadership #PublicService #LocalGovernment #CommunityResilience #Congrats https://lnkd.in/eQFzykzp

Lifesaving Heroes in Action! On January 3, 2025, a group of our dedicated first responders at Station 3 sprang into action when a citizen alerted them to an emergency. A city employee was found unresponsive and not breathing outside the station. Cpl. Patten, PSO Ouzts, FF Dandy, and Cpl. Waldrop immediately began life-saving measures, performing CPR and utilizing an AED. After delivering a shock and continuing CPR, the patient began showing signs of life, eventually regaining full responsiveness before being transported to Augusta MCG. Later, a doctor from MCG reached out with incredible news—the patient was awake, talking, and wanted to personally thank our heroes for saving his life. We are beyond proud of Cpl. Patten, Cpl. Waldrop, PSO Ouzts, and FF Dandy for their quick actions, teamwork, and dedication to saving lives. This is why we do what we do! 💪👏 #HeroesAmongUs #CPRSavesLives #ProudToServe

Congratulations to Dottie Price on being named as The City of North Augusta's 2024 Employee of the Year!! Dottie Price has been a shining example of employee dedication since 1998. Her determination to do what’s best for the agency and the city, rather than what’s best for her, is a rare quality in the modern work force. Rarely calls out, keeps up morale, and never complains without extreme cause. Mrs. Price is rarely seen behind her console but her calm voice has helped soothe many thousands of citizens over her 26 years of service, many of whom are experiencing the worst day of their life. Recently, with Public Safety being shorthanded in dispatch, Mrs. Price has more than carried her weight picking up extra shifts to ensure that the citizens of this city receive the best public service possible. Despite being a senior employee with Public Safety, she works her overtime shifts and NEVER complains. Always with a polite smile on her face, Mrs. Price is the “golden egg” of employees and The City of North Augusta is extremely lucky to have her on their side.

Congratulations to our Employee of the Quarter for quarter 3 Ed Galo. Ed is a great employee who comes to work with a positive attitude that infects everyone around him. Ed is not only great at his daily duties but constantly volunteers for additional shifts when help is needed. Ed is always willing to help anyone he can and being bilingual often helps with translations. One example is recently with a missing juvenile case, Ed was able to assist the Investigations Division with translation as almost no one involved spoke English. Investigations relayed that this was very helpful with their investigation as he was able to translate in real time and also help bridge the cultural gap. Much of this was done on his days off but he remained committed to helping ensure, along with Investigations that the child was found safely. Ed is an asset to Public Safety as well as the City as a whole.
