Service, Leadership, and Innovation: ASA President-Elect Brian Millen Brian Millen, 2026 ASA president-elect, has spent decades advancing statistics through leadership, mentorship, and innovation. As VP at Biogen, he leads biostatistics, epidemiology, and real-world data analytics, driving decision-making that accelerates life-changing therapies. Beyond his corporate role, Millen has dedicated years to professional service, including launching the JSM Diversity Workshop and Mentoring Program and establishing the BIOP Student Scholarship Award. He believes leadership is about creating opportunities for others and fostering environments in which innovation can thrive. As president-elect, his priorities include advocating for the profession, celebrating statisticians’ impact, cultivating leaders, and ensuring the ASA’s organizational agility.
