Not gonna lie: It still feels a little strange to scroll through an article titled “Underrated AWS Alternatives” and see Exoscale listed there. 😃🙂↕️ Or to read a roundup of “European-focused cloud providers praised on Reddit” and find ourselves in the mix. 🗞️ What we genuinely appreciate about these mentions: They don’t talk about us as “the cheaper hyperscaler.” They talk about clarity. About data sovereignty. About pricing that doesn’t require a spreadsheet detective. About infrastructure that works without theatrics. If the broader conversation is shifting from “biggest cloud wins” to “which cloud actually fits my workload, my compliance needs and my budget?” Then we’re happy to be part of that shift. 🤓 And being called “underrated” is oddly flattering. We’ll take it. 😅 Thanks to the editors and communities who continue to spotlight European cloud alternatives. When you evaluate providers, what’s your first filter: jurisdiction, cost predictability, performance, or ecosystem? . . . #cloud #multicloud #aws #devops #europeantech

Remember when your Prometheus metrics lived fast and died young? 🤘 🥴 Managed Thanos is now live on Exoscale and available in all zones. It lets you keep metrics for months or years instead of a couple of weeks, using low-cost Object Storage as the long-term backend as well as a managed Thanos control plane on top. 🔝 What you get in practice: 1. Long-term, resilient metrics: Keep years of metrics instead of days, backed by low-cost Exoscale Object Storage and multi-zone high availability, all delivered as DBaaS. 2. One view across all your clusters: Aggregate Prometheus data from multiple clusters and query everything from a single global dashboard in Grafana. No more jumping between separate Prometheus instances. 3. Easy-Sqeezy-Setup: Connect Prometheus once and start shipping metrics via portal, CLI or API. We handle the control plane, scaling and maintenance. No home-grown storage hacks: just Prometheus as you know it, with durable, scalable history built in. If “How long do we keep metrics?” still ends with “until the disk is full,” this one’s for you. Where do you draw the line between “we manage Kubernetes” and “we manage our applications”? 👀 With Scalable Kubernetes Service (SKS), exoscale runs the control plane so your teams can focus on workloads instead of turning cluster operations into a second full-time job. In practice, SKS gives you: • a fully managed, production-ready kubernetes control plane • nodepools you define with your own instance types, disks and security groups • a 99.95% sla on the control plane in the pro tier • deep integration with exoscale networking, storage and security Swipe through to see how the control plane and data plane are separated in SKS and where the differences to a DIY cluster really show up. Have questions about SKS internals or want to compare with your current setup? Let’s talk! . . . #kubernetes #cloud #devops #europeancloud #managedkubernetes

Think your cloud data is safe just because it sits in an EU data center? The law might disagree. 🤐 Data sovereignty today is less about “where is my data?” and more about “who can legally reach it?” In a complex regulatory landscape ranging from GDPR and the EU Data Act to the US CLOUD Act, geographical borders are not identical with jurisdictional ones and it is the latter which decides whether your workloads are truly under European control. In our new blog guide, you’ll learn: • why storage in Europe is not enough for sensitive workloads • how data sovereignty, data residency and data localization really differ • which questions boards, CISOs and architects should ask about cloud providers in 2026 • where European cloud providers like Exoscale fit into a sovereignty-first strategy If you work with regulated or business-critical data, this is a solid starting point to reframe the conversation with your teams and vendors. You shouldn’t have to pick between “global edge” and “European jurisdiction.” So we stacked the deck for you. 🧱 With Exoscale CDN, your cloud account, object storage and governance stay under a sovereign European cloud provider, while the global edge layer is delivered through our partner Akamai. Our CDN is a three-layer setup working together for your traffic: • Akamai Runs the global edge fabric with around 300,000 servers in 134 countries, so your assets are always close to your users. • Ducksify Brings CDN specialist expertise as part of the Akamai NetAlliance, tuning the edge configuration so it behaves well under real-world traffic. • Exoscale Provides the control plane: Object Storage integration, UI and API, billing and support, all under a sovereign European cloud model. What this means for your team: Enable CDN directly on your Exoscale Object Storage buckets; there is no second provider to manage Keep pricing predictable with volume-based, no-commitment billing and no region multipliers Stay aligned with GDPR and sovereignty requirements while using a truly global edge network You don’t have to choose between performance and jurisdiction. With our CDN, Akamai handles the global delivery, Ducksify the tuning, and Exoscale the sovereignty and simplicity. ✅ . . . #cdn #cloud #cloudcomputing #webperformance #edge #europeancloud

How do you get Akamai-grade global delivery without leaving a European cloud? 🌍 Exoscale CDN sits directly in front of your Object Storage buckets and turns them into a fast, globally distributed content delivery network. You enable it from the same console you already use; there is no separate setup or extra provider to manage. 🧳 Under the hood, Exoscale CDN: • is powered by Ducksify, bringing CDN specialist know-how into a simple Exoscale service • supports HTTP/2, QUIC and IPv6 for modern, efficient delivery • uses volume-based pricing with zero fixed fees or commitments What stays firmly in your hands: your Exoscale account, billing and data location choices. You keep European cloud control while using a truly global edge network. This post kicks off our CDN series. Curious about what’s next? How does digital sovereignty look when it actually lands in a country, not just in policy papers? 🇭🇷 In Croatia, recent coverage shows a clear pattern: local infrastructure and European cloud are coming together and Exoscale is part of that story. Thankfully. Lider highlights how A1 Hrvatska’s Tier III data center in Zagreb and Exoscale, now part of A1 Telekom Austria Group, deliver “the only sovereign cloud available in Croatia,” keeping customer data stored and processed entirely in-country. And in the wider debate, Planet Crust sums up the shift neatly: “digital autonomy represents not merely a compliance checkbox but a strategic imperative” for competitive advantage and resilience. Swipe through for a few standout quotes from Croatia and beyond and see how sovereignty is becoming a concrete, local reality around Zagreb’s new Exoscale zone. Spotted a mention we missed or a local write-up we should know about? Tag us in the comments so we can include it in a future Media Buzz.
