Some research teams are buried in ad-hoc requests. Others are shaping product direction. Same role, different system. AJ Simon (Head of UX at MoneyGram) and Matt Brzowski (Senior UX Researcher at BambooHR) have lived on both sides of this. On February 26, we’re getting honest about: ✅ Expanding research without burning out teams ✅ Building a toolkit that supports 2026 goals ✅ Shifting from reactive order-taking to strategic influence If you’re leading research or carrying it solo, this one’s for you (link in comments).

Research burnout isn’t a people problem—it’s a systems problem. Everyone wants insights. Design needs prototypes tested. Product needs validation. Marketing needs messaging feedback. And the researcher? They’re recruiting, building studies, chasing stakeholders, analyzing results—fast. That’s not scale, that’s just more weight on one person. That’s where our three pillars come in: ↗️ Scale research freely across teams 🛠️ Match methods to the right questions ⚖️ Balance human with research-grade AI Research isn’t solo work, it’s a strategic function. And we’re building with that belief at the core.

Thrilled to share that I’ve been promoted to an Account Executive at Maze About 18 months ago KP called to say Maze was building out the EMEA team and needed an SDR. At the time it was a tough call, take a different AE role or make a sideways move across to Maze Keiran P. your advice that Maze would be the best incubator to learn the AE fundamentals was spot on. As always mate shoutout to your mentorship and sponsorship, not just at Maze but going back to our UserZoom days We've had a great year with EMEA absolutely crushing its number, almost generating as much revenue as our US counterparts… We’ll get them this year ;) Few highlights: - Helping source 2 of the largest deals in Maze’s history - The UX team at the retailer who helped me prep for my UserZoom interview 4 years ago moving to Maze. A real full circle moment It’s bittersweet to be leaving the SDR team with Steven Bodley, Madison Noland and Curtis Tang but I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built over the last 18 months with such a lean team Thank you Damien Couennaux, Jessica Hovde, James Carter, and Freya McCann for the support, coaching and for pushing me to be my best. I’m especially proud of the AE/SDR partnerships we’ve built. I’ve no doubts that our next SDR hire is going to be wildly successful Speaking of... we’re hiring for an EMEA SDR. If you’re interested please reach out :)

"Never in my life have I seen changes implemented based directly on a support ticket, and in such a fast way." -- That's what a customer told us 24 hours after we shipped their fix. We talk about democratizing research at Maze. This is what it actually looks like. Support heard the pain point. Flagged it. Product shipped it. User insights flowing straight into product decisions, fast. The research isn't bottlenecked. The shipping isn't either. Shoutout to Support and EPD 🔥
