The world’s most diverse and extensive collection of icons and mission-driven photos.
About us
Noun Project launched in 2011 to build a global visual language that unites the world - a language that allows quick and easy communication no matter who you are or where you are. Since then, our community of creators has built the most diverse and extensive collection of visual language in the world, used by nearly 10 million people. In 2016, the team behind Noun Project launched Lingo, a modern digital asset manager used by some of the world’s best-known brands including Target, Headspace, LinkedIn and Salesforce. We believe that visual language has the power to shape, reinforce, and change perceptions. Through initiatives like Iconathons, community design workshops, and the Redefining Women collection, we have been building the most extensive and diverse collection of icons ever created. To further support our vision, in 2020 we launched Noun Project Photos — a mission-driven, art-quality collection of photos celebrating diversity and representing a more inclusive world. Noun Project and Lingo are led by co-founders Sofya Polyakov and Edward Boatman. Based in Los Angeles, California, Noun Project has been recognized as one of the top 100 places to work in the city.

I just learned that Noun Project has an integration with Google Slides and Google Docs. You can search the Noun Project library from within Slides, change the colour and size of the icon and insert directly into your Slides!!! I was very, very excited by this. (Also, for those of you looking at the content this is for an online course my wife and I are launching early Feb for Canadian procurement professionals.) What tips and tricks do you have for making nice looking decks quickly?

Visualizations are important for your content. 60,000 times faster. Really? Yes, research suggests the brain processes images up to 60,000 times faster than text. Well-placed imagery (if not overused) can help people intuitively understand your presentations faster and better. Here's one of my longstanding favorite sources. Noun Project I've used them for years in presentations and other communications. Give them a try and let me know what you think. What other tools/sites do you use and recommend?
