The Sponsor Session of our Platinum Sponsor EVERGREEN LINE at the Kaleris Navis Maritime Summit in Singapore last week centered around the topic of #safety beyond #compliance and how Kaleris' tools can help liners to balance utilization, efficiency and compliance with the safety of life at sea. The discussion focused on the prevention of onboard fires through monitoring DG-cargo, but also non-DG cargo which can still be very critical to heated conditions while being exposed to sunlight and heat in the cargo hold, on deck or at the yard. All cargo planners and the vessel crew need to be aware of the exact positions of this critical cargo on deck to prevent explosions, fires and resulting incidents. Ocean Carriers often have extensive Inhouse Rules to handle this special critical cargo which go way beyond compliance with official regulations. Kaleris' #loadingcomputer MACS3 and #stowageplanning tool StowmanDS offer the possibility to have these special Inhouse Rules integrated into the software and therewith contribute to a safer stow for planners and onboard crew. A huge thank you to Captain Y. S. Hwang from Evergreen for bringing this topic up in his presentation and reminding us that regardless of all efficiency and maximum utilization efforts there are still human beings out there on the ships that need to be equipped with every possible information about the cargo they are transporting, so they can take informed decisions in every situation of the voyage! Captain Hwang also shared insights from the latest investigation on the temperature of containers that Evergreen has launched to have more significant data available for research. ✨ What a truly remarkable pioneering Cargo Data Exchange Workshop we had at the APAC Maritime Summit of Kaleris Navis in Singapore! More than 70 attendees and 15 speakers representing containership liners, terminals, and industry experts came together for a powerful day of collaboration. 🔹 Over fifty operations experts rolled up their sleeves to work on specific port call scenarios, sharing perspectives across stakeholder groups. The energy in the room was inspiring, full of lively discussions, sharp insights, and genuine collaboration. Key themes emerged across all groups: ✅ Lack of visibility ✅ Complex communication streams ✅ Inaccurate data ✅ Missing standardization A very special thank you to our platinum sponsor EVERGREEN LINE and to Captain Y. S. Hwang , whose leadership and insights truly elevated the event, his powerful message reminded us that while increasing efficiency is vital, we must never lose sight of safety as the foundation of everything we do. We were also privileged to hear from Arthur Touzot of CMA CGM, sharing the liner perspective on safety and collaboration, both essential pillars for progress in our industry. A huge thank you as well to every participant and presenter for your openness, expertise, and humor, you made this a real milestone. Events like this remind us that #EveryMoveMatters when it comes to improving safety, data exchange, and collaboration in maritime. Here’s to building on this momentum – stronger connections, deeper friendships, and a safer, more efficient maritime supply chain. 🚢 #TheCargoDataExperts #MaritimeSupplyChain #Containershipping #Cargo #Collaboration

It’s been a wonderful two days at the Kaleris APAC Maritime Summit in Singapore-with healthy debates, cross-business exchanges, and meaningful connections with our customers. Events like this are about taking away the best insights and using them to fuel the next leap in what we do. What stood out most were the customer presentations- from the panel on “Bridging the Divide”, where terminals, liners, SMEs, and researchers shared what’s needed to make cargo data exchange real, to the breakout sessions that sparked purposeful interaction. On the product side, we highlighted N4 4.0, advanced optimization solutions, with customer-led use cases showing the value in action later on. We also unveiled Terminal Insights as it’s fresh from the oven, highlighting the value of this solution that takes terminal operations to further heights and the successes realized so far. I must also call out the cargo data exchange workshop. With 60–70 participants, we weren’t sure how it would go, but it turned out to be one of the best moments. In just 30 minutes, people came together, exchanged perspectives, and even jumped on stage with suggestions-exactly the collaboration we hoped for. The maritime industry is unique and fast evolving. Seeing different perspectives come together, and the fact that almost everyone stayed fully engaged through Day 2, shows the impact. Grateful to be part of it after weeks of prepping, syncing with speakers, and making sure the content truly mattered-on top of all we do, all of this as a team. Kaleris Navis #EveryMoveMatters

Thank you so much to my friends at Kaleris for inviting me to give the opening keynote at their APAC Maritime Summit in Singapore. It’s rare to get so many stakeholders from both carriers and terminals in one room, and I’ve found the discussion today fascinating. It was a pleasure to share ideas from Thetius research about why we miss major technology shifts, what’s missing in the relationship between terminals and the rest of the industry, and how to ensure collaborative innovation works across multiple stakeholder groups with different needs.

I am happy to announce that Sealytix will be a sponsor of Kaleris' APAC Regional Maritime Summit in Singapore next week, 22-24 September. Together with Bastian Gehnke and Michael Haddon Holst, I will give a talk at 1:15 pm on day 2 about the CAPSIM Plugin for STOWMAN, a stowage optimization and compliance tool that we developed in collaboration with Kaleris. It solves lashing, stress force, and IMDG errors in a stowage plan, enabling planners to reduce planning time by 50-70%. In addition, it can reach target trim and VCG with cargo rather than ballast water, driving more cargo loaded and significant bunker savings - $250K - 500K annually. Big thanks to Martin Bardi and Selke Eichler for making this happen.
