🤩 This is a "see you later," not "goodbye," for these three board members. We are extremely grateful to Karla Vehrs, Jeff Wenngatz, and Brad Joseph for their many years of support in furthering the mission to help kids with cancer and their families. Please share your gratitude in the comments for these amazing folks! 💙 #PinkySwearFoundation #BoardofDirectors #NonProfit #HelpingKidswithCancer

Helping kids with cancer and their families with financial and emotional support.
About us
Childhood Cancer Changes Everything Every time a family hears the words "your child has cancer," they are forced to make hard decisions. They ask themselves: "Do I keep working while having to take time off for treatments and hospital stays? If I quit my job, will we survive financially?" Medical bills can be delayed, but rent is due, bills still come, and food is a necessity. Families facing childhood cancer need help with everyday expenses. Pinky Swear Foundation provides financial support for transportation, food, and housing so families can focus on what matters most - their child.

Someone asked a GREAT question on our Instagram today, so we are sharing the answer here, too. What are the pros of monthly giving? The first video shared highlighted the ease and ability to automate the payment. This reason is different, though... give it a watch. The news of James Van Der Beek's passing is a sad one for those in the cancer awareness space. 💔 Several Pinky Swear supporters met James at Kansas City's Big Slick event in 2022. The event supports one of our hospital partners, Children's Mercy. James encouraged Pinky Swear to remain true to our mission and values. He noted the importance of authenticity in our tender work with families. When James was going through treatment for his own cancer journey the last few years, he was vocal about the hidden financial burdens that accompany cancer. James understood our mission and was so loved by everyone in his life. We light a candle in his memory. 🕯️ Amanda Wilkinson Jared Wilkinson Tracy Jones Clint Jones Lance Larson #BigSlick #KansasCity #PinkySwearFoundation #HelpingKidswithCancer

All in all, Jade has endured 14 rounds of chemotherapy and 31 radiation treatments at a hospital in Utah, seven hours from her home in Nevada. All she wanted to be doing was dancing with her friends, not facing Ewing Sarcoma at nine years old. 💔 Childhood cancer is unfair. The Pinky Swear community was there to help Jade's family with gas and groceries to help with their travel to receive treatment.
