We are pleased to share a new #open‑access publication from our collaboration with AbbVie in Clinical Pharmacokinetics: “Population Pharmacokinetics of Atogepant for the Prevention of Migraine”   by Louisa Schlachter, Sven Stodtmann, Alexander Voelkner, Fredrik Jonsson, Max Lagraauw, and Ramesh Boinpally.   Atogepant is an oral CGRP receptor antagonist approved for the preventive treatment of episodic and chronic migraine. In this work, we brought together data across the clinical program to build and validate a comprehensive population PK model.   The analysis: • Integrated PK data from 12 phase 1, a phase 2b/3 and two phase 3 studies in healthy participants and patients with episodic or chronic migraine   • Characterised how formulation, dose, food, hepatic function, body weight and key drug–drug interactions influence exposure   • Demonstrated that atogepant pharmacokinetics are similar in healthy participants and patients with migraine, supporting a consistent dosing paradigm across populations   • Identified which intrinsic factors and concomitant medications do not require dose adjustments, and where specific modifications are appropriate   The resulting model has supported dose selection, special‑population dosing recommendations and broader model‑informed drug development decisions for atogepant.   Read the article (open access) here:   https://lnkd.in/dqTmmeTg   #ClinicalPharmacokinetics #Pharmacometrics #ModelInformedDrugDevelopment #Migraine #Atogepant #qPharmetra
