  • A Decade of Impact: A Nation, Heart at Work It was an evening of deep reflection and immense pride as raiSE SG celebrated 10 years of shaping Singapore’s Social Enterprise ecosystem. Graced by Guest of Honour, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and Minister Masagos Zulkifli, the event brought together 600 guests, including raiSE Social Enterprise members, and representatives from the Public sector, Corporations and Social Service Agencies. The evening opened with a showcase, themed "A Nation, Heart at Work," a powerful reminder of how our Social Enterprises have evolved and contributed to our nation-building efforts. The night was marked by several pivotal milestones: Verified Leading Social Enterprises: We recognised the inaugural cohort of 17 Verified Leading Social Enterprises, built on credibility and transparency of social impact. Social Enterprise Advocates: 24 partners from the public and private sectors were honoured for their purposeful, intentional and strategic support and collaboration with Social Enterprises. A Decade of Dedication: A heartfelt tribute to our long-standing members who have journeyed with raiSE since day one. We were also honoured to have President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister Masagos Zulkifli, Mr. Gautam Banerjee, Mr. Kian Peng Seah, Ms. Theresa Sim, and Mr. Alfie Othman unveil our 10-year commemorative publication. This book documents our collective journey. As we look to the next 10 years, our mission remains clear: to empower Social Enterprises as they lead the way in showing that business can be a force for good. We move forward with the unwavering belief that Social Enterprises are the Future of Business. To our members and our partners: Thank you for being the heartbeat of this ecosystem. Together, we continue to build a more inclusive and resilient Singapore. #FutureOfBusiness #socialenterprises #raiSE10 #socialentrepreneurship #ANationHeartAtWork

Technology is not just a tool, it has the power to transform lives and communities.   Over the past 10 weeks, the TS2 Accelerator Programme, organised by raiSE SG and NUS Enterprise, has supported 10 aspiring Social Enterprises (Assemblr, Eyeviser, Inheritage, KIMU STUDIO, MeMove, Ovy Health, Pic-A-Talk, RetireGenie Technology, Thinklery Group, and Universal Health) through mentorship, workshops, and grant funding, helping them grow their businesses and scale their social impact.   The programme culminated in Demo Day on Tuesday, 25 November, where these aspiring Social Enterprises took the stage to showcase how their innovative tech solutions can create meaningful, lasting social impact in the areas of Health & Wellness, Education, Seniors, and Social Mobility. A judging panel comprising Ee Ling Lim, Diana Reeves , Wai Chiew CHIK, and Edwin Lee, CFA, CAIA evaluated the presentations, providing feedback and insights to help the start-ups refine their solutions and maximise their impact. The session concluded with a closing speech by raiSE CEO Alfie Othman. The TS2 Demo Day held at Temasek Shophouse offered a valuable opportunity for founders, investors, and ecosystem partners to connect, exchange ideas, and explore meaningful collaborations, strengthening the broader Social Enterprise ecosystem. We look forward to continuing to follow and work with this cohort of aspiring Social Enterprises as they advance their Social Enterprise journey, turning innovative ideas into tangible, lasting impact.   If your organisation is committed to purpose and impact, join the raiSE community today: raise.sg/become-a-member #futureofbusiness #businessforgood #socialenterprises #ts2 #acceleratorprogram

It’s a wrap for a truly inspiring Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) by Enterprise Singapore! Amidst the energy of global innovation, raiSE SG was proud to champion the essential role of Social Enterprises in building a resilient and inclusive economy. Our presence at SWITCH 2025 demonstrated a powerful truth: embedding social value into enterprise is no longer optional—it is the definition of a forward-looking business model. The raiSE Pavilion was a hub of activity. Our Social Enterprise members and grantees connected with investors and partners, powerfully demonstrating how impact and enterprise truly go hand in hand. A key highlight was our critical panel discussion, ‘Impact is the Business Model: Why Innovation Must Serve Society’, moderated by our CEO, Alfie Othman. Our expert panellists Adam Ng (Temasek), Clara Chen (Universal Health), Huh Dam (Adam) (Stick 'Em) dissected how integrating social value creates both a strategic competitive advantage and meaningful, systemic change in society, reinforcing that Impact is truly it the business model moving forward.  We also actively engaged with aspiring changemakers at SWITCH Youth Day: Future Re:Wired by the National Youth Council Singapore, and Wavesparks discussing how AI and Social Entrepreneurship can come together to address social issues.  A heartfelt thank you to our panellists, partners, and everyone who visited us during SWITCH 2025. Your engagement reaffirms the growing, powerful synergy between innovation and deep impact. Yesterday, raiSE SG hosted Minister Masagos Zulkifli to a lunch discussion as we mark our 10th year of building the Social Enterprise ecosystem. We are grateful for the continued support from Ministry of Social and Family Development, Singapore (MSF) and Minister Masagos, which has been instrumental in strengthening the sector over the past decade. During lunch, we had the opportunity to learn from Minister's forward-looking views on how the Social Enterprise sector can progress and how ecosystem partnerships can augment raiSE’s capabilities, thus building on collective progress to create even greater impact in the next decade. Minister also took the opportunity to thank our outgoing Board members, Mr Choong Luen Lien and Mr Mark Syn, CFA for their invaluable contributions, and warmly welcomed our new Board members, Ms Anna Yip, Ms Ee Ling Lim, and Mr Suhaimi Zainul-Abidin who have come onboard since April 2025. As we look to the future, we remain committed to working alongside MSF, our strategic partners, and our Social Enterprise members to strengthen the sector and empower more lives.
