At OWIS, we believe strong communication sits at the heart of meaningful learning. On February 7, 2026, we’re opening our campus for the School Leaders Innovation Forum: Riyadh, hosted in partnership with Toddle. The forum brings together middle and senior leadership teams from schools across Riyadh to reflect on how communication across classrooms, leadership teams, and families supports student success. We look forward to welcoming colleagues to our campus for a day of thoughtful dialogue, shared learning, and connection. #OWISRiyadh #SchoolLeadersInnovationForum #RiyadhSchools #GlobalSchoolsGroup

  • What if professional learning sparked curiosity instead of compliance? In the latest episode of The School Leaders Project, Cindy Blackburn is joined by Worokya Duncan, Ed.D. to unpack how schools can reignite teacher engagement, redesign PD with purpose, and bring joy back to professional growth. From agency and trust to balance without burnout - this conversation rethinks what meaningful learning for educators truly looks like. Watch the full episode on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gQG6TnV8

  • "How can I spend more time on carpets with kids?” Sherriden Masters, Head of Innovation and Technology at the International School of Luxembourg, reflects on the real promise of time in schools: when we save time, we have a choice in how to use it. Sometimes that means being with students, sometimes it means being with ourselves or our teams. As he puts it, time saved only matters when it becomes time well spent. At Toddle, that is the promise - helping teachers reclaim valuable time so they can use it intentionally, in the places and relationships that matter most.

As we approach the end of 2025, I thought it would be a good time to look at the year at a glance. 2025 has been a phenomenal year for Toddle. We strengthened our partnerships with schools and introduced powerful new capabilities including some amazing AI tools. These enhancements continue to elevate teaching and learning experiences across classrooms. Where we stand today: • 2,500+ schools in 127 countries now run on Toddle • 500+ new school partnerships this year • 2 million+ users engaging with the platform The engagement across classrooms has been equally encouraging: • 200,000+ unit plans created • 1 million+ lesson plans created • 3 million+ assignments • 7 million+ portfolio posts • 1.5 million+ announcements • 1 million+ progress reports • 1 million+ student chats with AI tutors One milestone I feel deeply proud of is that we became cashflow positive. This gives us truly infinite runway to keep building with long-term conviction. We have everything we need to continue advancing our mission without ever compromising on product quality or our teacher-first philosophy. Another meaningful highlight this year was our expansion into eight new countries. For the first time, we partnered with schools in Lithuania, Congo, Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Malta, and Zimbabwe. The fact that learning communities from such diverse geographies choose Toddle is deeply motivating. I am deeply grateful to the school teams who trust us and continually push us to build better. Your belief in our mission keeps us grounded and focused. We look forward to serving you even more meaningfully in 2026 ❤️

A few days ago, I had the opportunity to participate in a workshop facilitated by the brilliant Dylan Wiliam. The session covered principles of what truly makes an effective assessment, specifically covering his work on improving formative assessment practices. It was a powerful reminder that our assessment practices often influence outcomes in ways that we don't fully realise and can even unintentionally restrain learning. This workshop reinforced the need to move toward interpretive, learning-focused assessment. The following were key takeaways from my end: - Overly clear rubrics problem: While clarifying criteria (rubrics) can help students improve their work and score higher on that specific assignment, Wiliam cautions that this may improve performance but often doesn't improve the learner. - Good feedback: Good formative feedback doesn't tell students how to get the highest score; it tells them how to improve their underlying learning so that they become capable of achieving the higher score independently. The focus must be on improving the learner, not just the performance. -The intellectual struggle: We must design learning environments that encourage the students to grapple with content in order to build more lasting, deeper memory traces. Retrieval practice, for example, is a proven strategy supported by cognitive science (a form of desirable difficulty). Huge thanks to Toddle - Your Teaching Partner for hosting. #FormativeAssessment #EffectiveAssessmentDesign #FeedbackForLearning #TeachingAndLearning #HigherEducation #RetrievalPractice #DesirableDifficulties #EvidenceInformedPractice

In the DP, when learning takes precedence over exams, learning thrives - and results follow. That’s Dylan Wiliam’s call to action in Acing DP Assessment Design. This free virtual event connects formative assessment principles to day-to-day DP practice, so evidence leads to timely action and real progress. You’ll also get: - A behind-the-scenes look at the International School of Prague’s DP assessment approach and how AI supports their vision. - A practical peek at AI-supported grading for IAs and EEs to ease moderation and strengthen predictions. 6 December | 12:00 PM GMT | Virtual Register here for free: https://hubs.li/Q03W23Lz0

What if the PYP Exhibition could move beyond tradition, and become a launchpad for genuine innovation, agency, and future-ready thinking? I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be unpacking this at the 2026 PYPx Pop-Up with Toddle - Your Teaching Partner In my session, I’ll explore how, using concept-based inquiry, and real-world problem-solving whilst leveraging the use of AI, we can transform the Exhibition from a culminating event into a powerful engine for deep learning. Expect practical strategies, frameworks you can use right away, and a rethink of what our learners are truly capable of when the Exhibition becomes theirs, not ours. I’m honoured to be presenting alongside Cindy Blackburn and Ashley Eames who will each bring powerful lenses on learner agency, authenticity, and impact. If you’re ready to reimagine PYPx and elevate the learning experience for your students, join us. This is the professional conversation you don’t want to miss. • When the world’s authority on assessment talks to DP educators, this is what you get: “Prof. Wiliam's focus and clarity helped me solidify my understanding of assessments in the DP.” “The content planned by Dylan helped me understand the key determinants of fair, valid, and reliable tests” “Thank you Dylan for sparking new perspectives on assessment in me.” At Acing DP Assessment Design, Prof. Dylan Wiliam unpacked evidence-centred, backward design for the DP and provided a fresh take on assessment.
