What is remote config and why should you care? Imagine rolling out a new feature, only to realize it’s broken in production. Now you have to rush a fix, wait for app store approval, or disrupt users with another deployment. Remote configuration lets you change app behavior on the fly—without redeploying. It works like a dynamic settings panel for your app or platform, allowing you to: Enable or disable features instantly (no redeploy needed) Personalize experiences for different users without code changes Fix issues without waiting for a new release (bypass app store delays) Roll out changes gradually (minimizing risk with controlled rollouts) For teams working on mobile apps, SaaS products, or enterprise software, Remote Config is a game-changer. At Tggl, we take it a step further with granular access controls, approval workflows, and real-time monitoring—so teams can experiment safely, without breaking production. Feature flags can be a game-changer for release management—until they turn into a chaotic mess 😅 In small teams, it’s easy to keep track of flags. But as your org scales, things get trickier 🤔: - Who owns this flag? - Is it still in use, or should it be cleaned up? Without proper management, flags pile up, tech debt grows, and releases become riskier. So how do large teams keep things under control? 1️⃣ Set ownership & context: every flag should have a clear owner, description, and tags so that teams can easily find and manage them. 2️⃣ Keep roles & access granular: developers should be able to define guardrails, while product teams should have the flexibility to toggle flags within safe limits. 3️⃣ Enforce reviews & approvals: a proper review process ensures that changes aren’t made recklessly—especially in high-stakes environments like fintech or healthcare. 4️⃣ Monitor & clean up regularly: old, unused flags add clutter and risk. Regular cleanup cycles help prevent feature flag debt from getting out of hand. Managing feature flags at scale doesn’t have to be chaotic—you just need the right processes (and the right tool 😉). #FeatureFlags #SoftwareDevelopment #ProductManagement #Tggl
