How is artificial intelligence changing the everyday work of libraries, and what role can system providers play in ensuring the technology remains both ethical and practical? At TIND, we see AI as an opportunity to help users find more relevant materials and to give librarians smarter, time-saving tools. We also believe libraries have an important role as trusted sources of real information in a world where it’s easy to create false or misleading content. We focus on quality, transparency, and responsible implementation as we explore how AI can enhance discovery, metadata management, and user experience across the TIND platform. These ideas were part of the discussion at the seminar “Artificial Intelligence in the Library Sector: Ethics, Practice, and Inspiration,” where TIND Co-Founder and Implementation Manager Kenneth Hole joined a panel on how libraries and vendors can use AI responsibly in practice. 📸 Photo: County Library of Akershus, Buskerud and Østfold / Claus A.
