Over the past few weeks, we’ve rolled out the first beta of our official client for Windows 11. For years, we’ve specialized in distributing Android apps, but desktop software has always been part of what we do. With this release, we wanted to take things further and offer a practical, feature-packed tool to help you browse, download, and keep your desktop apps up to date, all in one place, backed by our huge software catalog. And like always, our principles remain unchanged: free downloads, no registration required, and security and transparency first. We’ll be sharing more details about what the client can do very soon. Just a few days ago, the Uptodown team gathered at Monday Working Spaces in Málaga to take stock of where we are, lay the groundwork for the challenges ahead, and showcase the exciting projects we’ve been cooking up. Our secret weapon? Always has been: being a close, committed, and energized team. And that kind of vibe needs to be kept alive. We’re living in interesting times. AI integration is reshaping the web, and like we’ve done with every tech wave before, we’re adapting fast, tweaking our model to meet the market’s ever-changing needs. It’s been over 20 years since Luis Hernández Garrido and pepe dominguez fernandez founded Uptodown, and our mission remains the same: to keep democratizing software distribution in a way that benefits users, developers, and advertisers alike. The real key? Never losing that day-one excitement. That’s what keeps us moving.

The arrival of the European Digital Markets Act and the opening of the mobile software distribution ecosystem by major industry players have placed us in a strong position to tackle the challenges just around the corner. We’re thrilled about the path we’re carving out for the months ahead! But let’s focus on the present. We’ve also made significant improvements to 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐚𝐩𝐩, transforming it into a powerful tool for downloading, installing, and managing your apps. It’s no surprise that we’ve surpassed 5 million daily active users, and the numbers just keep climbing! And that’s not all: our pre-registration notification system for upcoming releases, hundreds of new thematic categories to better connect our catalog, and countless upgrades to our app publishing service are just a few of the innovations we’ve rolled out this year. Thanks to these efforts, 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 100,000 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬—ranging from indie creators to renowned studios — trust us to officially distribute their products.
