Share conversions across ad accounts with Conversions API and Business Manager

Simplify your conversion setup by sharing your Conversions API conversion rules across your ad accounts with Business Manager.

When you share conversions across your accounts, you can:

  • Simplify your conversions setup and save time - Sharing across accounts can help reduce the amount of time and manual effort you spend on creating conversions, since you won’t have to recreate the conversion for each ad account.
  • Gain data consistency - By using the same conversions for each ad account, your data will come from the same source across your ad accounts and won’t be impacted by issues that can be caused by manual creation.

To share conversions across ad accounts:

  1. Create your conversion in Campaign Manager using Conversions API as your data source.

  2. After you’ve created your conversion, go to your Business Manager.

  3. Click Conversions on the left menu.

  4. Select the checkbox next to the conversions you’d like to share.

  5. Click the Share conversions button in the upper-right corner. You can see how many conversions you’ve selected on the button.

  6. Select the checkbox next to the ad accounts you’d like to share your conversions with.

  7. Click the Share button.

Complete your setup and associate ad sets with your conversions

After you’ve shared your conversions with your ad accounts, you can then associate them with ad sets:

  1. Go to Campaign Manager and select your ad account at the top of the left menu.

  2. Click Measurement, then select Conversion tracking on the left menu.

  3. Review your conversions list to ensure that your shared conversions are associated with the account.

  4. To associate the conversion with an ad set, click the conversion name.

  5. Review the conversion settings and click Next step.

  6. Review the conversion source. Keep in mind, the source can’t be changed when editing. Click Next step.

  7. In the Ad sets section, click Edit and select the checkboxes next to ad sets you want to associate with your conversion. Click the Save button.

  8. Click the Update button.
