These guidelines are provided to you to help you comply with LinkedIn’s Advertising Policies when advertising financial products or services. Advertisers are responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry codes pertaining to their ads.
LinkedIn restricts the promotion of financial products and services, as outlined below. In addition to these requirements, the promotion of cryptocurrency products and services must also comply with LinkedIn’s Cryptocurrency policy.
Ads promoting financial services or products to audiences in the United Kingdom may come from UK Financial Conduct Authority authorized advertisers only. Learn more.
Ads promoting financial trading and exchanges, banking, mortgage, credit, insurance, lending, pension or investment products or services, must comply with LinkedIn’s Advertising Policies, including the following requirements:
- Include a Privacy Policy.
- Provide current and accurate contact information.
- Contain all required disclosures under applicable local laws and regulations.
- Avoid any misleading, deceptive, or unsupported competitive claims.
- Do not target members under the age of 18.
- Do not promote products or services on our prohibited list.
Ads promoting personal loans must meet the following additional requirements:
- Disclose the total cost of the loan, including all applicable fees.
- Clearly state the repayment terms, including the minimum and maximum repayment periods.
- Specify the maximum Annual Percentage Rate (APR), which must include all fees (e.g., interest, initiation fees, late fees, and any other costs related to the loan).
Ads promoting the following financial products and services are prohibited:
- Payday loans
- Reverse mortgages
- Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Lending
- Binary options
- Financial products or services designed to facilitate illegal purposes
- Services that guarantee financial return
- Services that guarantee foreclosure prevention
- Services that guarantee loan modification
- Penny auctions
- Penny stocks
