Remove a mention or tag of yourself

You can remove a mention or tag of yourself from a post, comment, or photo at any time.

To remove a mention from a post or comment:

  1. Click the  More icon in the upper-right corner of the post or comment.

  2. Click  Remove mention.

  3. In the confirmation pop-up window, click Remove.

Your name stays in plain text, but the link to your profile is removed.

To remove a tag from a photo:

  1. Click the  Tag icon on the photo.

  2. In the Tagged pop-up window, click the  Trash icon next to your name.

  3. In the confirmation pop-up window, click Remove.

The member who tagged you won’t be notified.

If you don't want other members to tag you in their posts, comments, or photos, you can turn mentions and tags on or off in your settings.
