Troubleshoot not receiving requests for services on LinkedIn

Last updated: 3 months ago

Creating a Service Page on LinkedIn can help you find more clients for your business, as potential clients can send you requests for your services. When someone sends you a service request, we may send you a notification or email. Learn what steps to take if you aren’t receiving requests for services, or the requests aren’t available when you open the notification.

Problem
Explanation
I’m not receiving enough requests for my services.

If you’d like to receive more requests for your services, try these tips:

Subscribe to Premium Business to be eligible to receive additional requests for services, and to add a Request services button to your profile to attract more leads.

If you’re subscribed to Premium Business, enable the Get more service requests setting by following these steps:

1) Go to your LinkedIn Service Page admin view.

2) Click Edit Page.

3) In the Premium Settings section, switch the Get more service requests toggle to On.

Learn more about enabling this option for your Service Page. By enabling this setting, you’re eligible to receive additional service requests. Keep in mind that turning this setting on doesn’t guarantee more requests.

Important to know: The setting to receive additional requests is currently not available for services offered on a Company Page. However, if you have a Premium Company Page subscription, then this feature is available for services offered on a Company Page.

Confirm that your Page notification settings for Service Page project updates are turned on.

Fill out your Service Page completely to provide details of the services you offer. For example, consider adding testimonials from past clients, and turn on reviews so clients can rate your services.

Respond to all requests as quickly as possible, so the request doesn’t receive the maximum number of responses before you submit your proposal. This can also increase your response rate and time, which might be displayed on your Service Page.

I received a notification or email that I got a request for my services, but the request was gone when I tried to view it.

A request will disappear if it has already received the maximum number of responses from other service providers. Additionally, if a member closes their request for services, the request will disappear.

We recommend responding to service requests as quickly as possible, as requests might be unavailable if you open the notification or email several hours or days later.

You may also see different requests than the ones shown in the email or notification, if the original requests get the maximum number of replies but new requests are available.
