Hirer responsiveness insights FAQ

Last updated: 8 months ago

LinkedIn showcases hirers' responsiveness on job posts to enhance their employer brand and demonstrate their commitment to candidates by making their job posts more transparent. For companies actively engaging with candidates, these insights will highlight their active review status or applicant review times

Important to know

We’re gradually making this feature available, and you might not have access to it at this time.

Where do responsiveness insights appear?

Responsiveness insights are displayed on job search results and job description pages. Example insights you may see on jobs include:

  • Actively reviewing applicants
  • Review time is typically 1 week
  • Responses managed off LinkedIn

Why are responsiveness insights beneficial?

  • Enhance your employer brand: Increase transparency and responsiveness, which builds trust and boosts your employer brand reputation among job seekers.
  • Stand out and attract more talent: Set your company apart from others who don’t respond to candidates as quickly or frequently and attract more confident and qualified applicants.

How is the “Actively Reviewing Applicants” insight calculated?

  • "Actively Reviewing Applicants" is displayed on a job post when the recruiter has reviewed one or more applications in the past two weeks and is updated daily.
  • The following interactions count as a ‘Review’: InMail, rejection (auto, bulk, or manual), move candidate to any stage past ‘uncontacted’ in LinkedIn Recruiter, application view, profile view, and resume download.

How is applicant review time calculated?

  • Applicant review time is calculated based on the average response/review time for at least 35% of on-site and Apply Connect applications to a company over the last 30 days. If the average response/review time is over 21 days, this badge is not shown.
  • The following interactions count as a ‘Review’: InMail, rejection (auto, bulk, or manual), move candidate to any stage past ‘uncontacted’ in LinkedIn Recruiter, application view, profile view, and resume download.

What does the “No response insights available yet” insight mean?

This insight is shown for jobs posted via LinkedIn Jobs, external ATS integrated with Apply Connect, and LinkedIn Recruiter* (select jobs only) where a recruiter hasn’t:

  • Reviewed at least 1 application in the past 2 weeks
  • Reviewed at least 35% of applications

This insight can also change if a recruiter ends up reviewing one application OR the company ends up reviewing at least 35% of applications. It’s not a permanent status; it can change based on recruiter and company activity.

*LinkedIn Recruiter jobs eligible for insights include:

  • Manually posted jobs where customers choose to receive applicants on LinkedIn and be notified by email. Jobs that direct applicants to an external site to apply are not eligible.
  • Job wrapping jobs that are posted from an external ATS integrated with Apply Connect.

What does the “Responses managed off LinkedIn” insight mean?

This insight is shown for jobs posted through an external ATS. Since the application process is separate, LinkedIn does not have responsiveness data for these posted jobs. This insight makes it clear to job seekers that they shouldn’t view these jobs any differently and to set the expectation that the process lives off LinkedIn.

How can hirers improve their response time?

By making sure you’re active and reviewing at least 1 application for a specific role every 2 weeks and/or also reviewing at least 35% of the applications you receive. Enabling automated rejection messages to applicants who don’t meet your must-have qualifications is an efficient way to improve your response or review time without having to manually respond more. Just add screening questions to your job posts on LinkedIn, and auto-rejections will be enabled by default.
