Add, edit, or delete education on your profile

Adding education to your LinkedIn profile helps showcase your knowledge and background. You can add, change, or delete entries anytime in the Education section.

Before you begin

  • The Education section appears only after you add your first education entry.

  • If you don’t see the Education section, learn how to add sections to your profile.

To add education:

  1. Click the  Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.

  2. Click View profile.

  3. Scroll down to Education section and click the  Add icon.

  4. (Optional) Turn on Notify network toggle if you want to share this update with your connections.

  5. Enter your education details.

  6. (Optional) Add skills or media to support your educational qualification.

  7. Click Save.

To edit or delete education:

  1. Click the  Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.

  2. Click View profile.

  3. Scroll down to Education section and click the  Edit icon.

  4. From here you can:
    • Edit: Click the  Edit icon next to the education entry, update your details, and click Save.
    • Delete: Click the  Edit icon next to the education entry, then click Delete education at the bottom of the page and confirm.
