I had answered all the questions confidently. Then, out of nowhere, the interviewer asked me this question.   I went blank... After a moment, I simply said no. 𝗠𝗲: Interviewers don’t usually ask it, but if you’re answering confidently, they might dig deeper to test how well you really understand the topic. 𝗟𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻... Asp.Net Core discovered Controllers automatically when the application is started.   The basic 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 is simple: 𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗦𝗼, 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲/𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 [𝗔𝗽𝗶𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿] 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀. I've never seen a Controller without inheriting from ControllerBase or Controller in a production application, but it's good for a developer to know. 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦: Controllers are conventionally defined in the Controllers folder, but they can be defined anywhere in the project and will still be discovered. Have you ever tried such Controller?
