Balancing the grid isn’t just about technology, it’s about enabling the energy of change. As renewables grow on the grid, fluctuations in supply from wind and solar variability increase the risks of power disruptions. That’s where synchronous condensing comes in: it contributes to system inertia, keeping the grid stable as renewable generation and demand of electricity fluctuate. GE Vernova’s aeroderivative gas turbines, like the LM2500XPRESS, LM6000, and TM2500, have the synchronous condensing capabilities to: • Stabilize the grid → respond rapidly (5-min start) to frequency changes and voltage dips, while controlling reactive power for voltage regulation • Enable renewables → switch between condensing and generation modes to balance intermittent supply • Right-sized solutions → aeroderivatives are compact, flexible, and modular to bring energy wherever it’s needed • Future-ready → with hydrogen innovations, they align with tomorrow’s low-carbon grid Check out how GE Vernova is helping firm the grid and power the energy transition in local communities: https://vernova.is/4opYR3t

GE Vernova grows its support for essential energy infrastructure in Alberta, Canada. Our Gas Power Aero Services Sales team led by Seun Egunjobi has signed a new long-term Contractual Services Agreement (CSA) with Pembina Pipeline Corporation for its facility at Empress, and extended our existing CSA at Pembina’s Redwater facility to further strengthen a collaboration built on trust, performance, and commitment to operational excellence. These agreements provide comprehensive maintenance support for multiple gas turbine packages, backed by tailored performance guarantees. By choosing GE Vernova as their OEM, Pembina benefits from our deep technology expertise, supported by remote monitoring and diagnostics to enhance reliability, proactively manage risk, and ensure energy availability. We are proud to support Pembina’s energy infrastructure and look forward to many more years of safe, efficient operations by their side. In our laboratory in Grenoble, France, our teams successfully completed the #hydropower turbine prototype testing for the possible expansion of the Duke Energy Corporation Bad Creek facility in South Carolina. In the early stages of planning, this potential addition of new #PumpedStorage power could feature four variable-speed reversible units of about 470 MW each – a first use of this technology in the US. Congratulations to all our hydraulic engineers, designers, fitters, inspectors, technicians and test engineers who made this achievement possible. This milestone represents not only technical excellence but also a shared commitment to advancing energy innovation together with Duke Energy. #Hydropower #PumpedStorage #Innovation #EnergyTransition #Teamwork Bad Creek II Image Credit: Duke Energy

🛠️ As an #EnergyTransition partner, our team understands that our #SteamPlant customers in their later life cycles need cost-effective solutions to continue operating their aging equipment reliably. See some examples of how we're doing just that including: 🔹 A #SteamTurbine rotor modification- sourced from a decommissioned plant- that significantly reduced cycle time and cost for a site in Germany 🔹 Removal of damaged #generator stator bars for a U.S. operator following a forced #outage, enabling the plant to quickly resume operation at lower capacity until planned service could be executed Learn more here: https://vernova.is/4jMTnO1 #GEVernova #FutureOfEnergy

Innovation and teamwork are at the heart of our mission to accelerate the energy transition. Great to see this in action in Grenoble! #GEVernova #HydroPower #EnergyOfChange
Hydropower may not always make the headlines. Still, it quietly powers the world with clean, dispatchable energy and gives grids globally further flexibility. Although it’s a mature technology with decades of proven service, innovation continues to drive our Hydro Power business as we push the boundaries of performance and adapt to the evolving needs of the energy transition. I saw this innovation in action during my visit to our model test fabrication shop and hydraulic test laboratory in Grenoble, France, one of the most advanced in the industry. Here, small-scale turbines are tested under real-world conditions, enabling our engineers to refine designs, validate performance, and turn new ideas into full-size turbines manufactured across GE Vernova’s global network. I also met with leaders based here and discussed strategy, opportunities and goals for our different businesses. Thank you to Frederic Ribieras and the entire Grenoble team for your time and for showing how cutting-edge innovation and teamwork keep this century-old industry at the forefront of the energy future. Exciting progress is happening in our collaboration with IHI Corporation to develop a 100% ammonia combustion system for our F-class turbines. One GE Vernova team visited IHI’s Aioi Works in Hyogo, Japan, where they saw the gas turbine operating on 100% ammonia, examining its long-term durability. They also toured IHI’s new Large-scale Combustion Test facility, designed to test advanced combustion systems under real-world operating conditions. The engineering and commissioning of this facility are key milestones in our efforts to burn fuels with less or zero CO₂ and we’re proud of the progress that’s being made here! The remainder of the week included many productive meetings at IHI's Tokyo headquarters. Thank you to our IHI partners for their hospitality and commitment. We're proud of our shared achievements and look forward to continued success together. Learn more about this collaboration: https://vernova.is/48gY00a. #GEVernova #EnergyOfChange #Innovation #Ammonia

Our #HydroPower team joined the #GlobalHydropowerDay celebration this October 11, as a moment to reflect about how our day-to-day tasks contribute to a bigger, long-term picture. We tried to imagine the world in 2050, realizing what world we are helping to build today, and leaving for the next generation. This future doesn’t arrive by chance, but it’s built by all the small, dedicated actions we take today. Every calculation, every design, every turbine maintained, every innovative idea contribute to that vision. Hydropower is more than electricity; it’s a promise for the future, a future we are shaping as a team. What's your contribution to tomorrow’s change? #GEVernova #EnergyOfChange #WithHydro
