Low Input Lag (Auto Low Latency Mode)

Auto Low Latency Mode sets optimal latency settings for your games automatically, allowing for smooth gaming and fast reactions to your commands.

A split screen displays the same brawler character on both sides. With Auto Low Latency Mode turned Off on the left side, the character is unable to dodge a blast. With Auto Low Latency Mode turned On in the right side, the screen reacts faster to the controller, allowing the character to dodge the blast.

* Low input lag is measured based on internal testing conditions and it is subject to change according to game settings or specific conditions.

All about Gaming TVs

  • What is refresh rate?

Refresh rate is a measure of how many times per second a display updates the image, expressed in hertz. For example, a refresh rate of 60Hz means the screen refreshes or redraws itself 60 times per second. This continuous update creates a fluid and seamless image, which is crucial when gaming.

A high refresh rate provides smooth gameplay with less motion blur, keeping your game visuals clear and vivid. It also reduces input lag, so you can react quickly in intense gaming environments. Motion Xcelerator Turbo Pro on Samsung gaming TVs delivers improved clarity and smoothness during fast-moving scenes.
  • HDMI 2.1 is a standard that offers higher bandwidth and support for advanced features that enhance video and audio quality. It enables latency reduction through Auto Low Latency Mode and supports resolution up to 4K at 120Hz — making it ideal for gaming.
  • Input lag is the time it takes for your gaming TV to recognize that you’ve pressed a button on your controller. When playing FPS (First-Person Shooter) or sports games, any delay in input can be the difference between you winning or losing the game — so it’s recommended to find a TV with a low input lag to ensure that your game is as responsive as possible.

Samsung gaming TVs feature Auto Low Input Lag, which prevents lag for a more responsive experience, especially in fast-paced games.
  • Put simply, a gaming TV is a display that boasts a number of features that can benefit gamers. These TVs may not always be designed with gamers in mind, but they meet all of the criteria that a good gaming display needs.

Gaming TVs give players greater control over their favorite titles, with high refresh rates, low input lag and high resolutions.
  • Many different brands offer quality gaming TVs. Samsung S95F in particular is known to provide excellent features that allow for immersive gaming, including high refresh rates, Auto Low Latency Mode, Variable Refresh Rate, HDMI 2.1 ports and Gaming Hub — among others.
  • All Samsung OLED, QLED, and Neo QLED displays are great for gaming, but each offers unique advantages. Samsung S95F delivers deep contrast, dark blacks, high refresh rates and ultra-low response times, making it ideal for immersive, fast-paced gameplay. Samsung QLED TVs stand out with their vibrant colors and high brightness, making them well-suited for gaming in daylight. Samsung Neo QLED TVs take it a step further by using Mini LED technology to produce pure whites and enhanced contrast, making them an excellent choice for gaming and watching sports.
  • Yes, a big TV enhances your gaming experience in many ways. A large screen can wrap around your field of vision, fully immersing you in the fun. They can also more easily be divided for multiplayer gameplay, so you can enjoy gaming with others.
  • When looking for a gaming TV, it's important to consider factors such as latency and refresh rate because they contribute to an optimal gaming experience.

Samsung S95F offers features like Auto Low Latency Mode, which prevents lag and optimizes game scenes for smooth playback, and Variable Refresh Rate, which dynamically adjusts to a game's frame rate to ensure smooth action with reduced motion blur, stuttering and image tearing.

Display size and type are also important — larger screens offer wider viewing angles, while advanced panels enhance color accuracy, making game scenes more vivid and lifelike.
  • The best size TV for gaming depends on the type of game being played, as well as the type of experience you want.

For example, if you often host multiplayer game parties with friends and family, then a big-screen TV would be great choice for giving a full view for all your guests. If you want to immerse yourself into a single-player game, then a moderately-sized TV will do just as well, as long it has the proper specs like a high refresh rate and low input lag.

With advanced technological features, Samsung S95F is designed to provide a seamless gaming experience with incredible immersion, no matter the size of the screen.
  • AI Auto Game Mode is a special feature on Samsung Gaming TVs, in which the TV detects the genre of game being played and seamlessly optimizes the picture and sound quality.

To activate AI Auto Game Mode, simply connect your console to your TV. Samsung S95F automatically starts AI Auto Game Mode when it detects connected consoles such as Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. So instead of having to tweak the settings every time you play, your TV does all the work for you.
