PCC Battery Room:
PCC (Power control Centre) is an important component of Sirajganj power station. It has a
Battery Room rated as 220 Volt DC. The battery room consists of 36 cells rated as 6V/192Ah.
This 220 V is generated from two partial batteries of 110V of 18 cells each connected in series.
The main purpose of battery room is to provide supply to Emergency DC Lube oil Pump (2.6-3.4
KW).

EDG:
Emergency Diesel Generator is an important tool in the case of insurgency of a power station. In
Sirajganj 150 MW power station EDG operates Emergency Motor Control Center. EDG operates
normally important loads as 220 V battery charger and lift oil pump(50.6 KW) via 11BME52
cabinet and Fan motor (13 KW), Lube oil pump vapor exhaust (2.2 KW), GT PCC AC power
supply and two lube oil pumps (22.8 KW) via 11MBE51. The EDG is run locally from EDG run
cabinet. It has two cells battery rated 12volt 29 plates and terminal voltage is found 27Volt
