Nurse Recruiter/Supervising Manager

Re: Nursing Letter of Recommendation for Ms. Ashley Nickell

To Whom It May Concern:

It is my distinct pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Ms. Ashley Nickell in support of her interest
to seek a nursing position with your organization. Ashley is currently in the Bachelor of Science Nursing
program at the University of Arizona, College of Nursing with an anticipated graduation date of December
2020.

Ashley enrolled in my spring 2019 course, NURS 350 Pathophysiology, and fulfilled this theory course in
excellent standing. This course provides a conceptual, integrative approach to selected pathophysiologic
and human responses to illness to which Ashley has demonstrated comprehension of the content with her
strong scholastic record. I was pleased with her small group research paper on the genetic disorder, sickle
cell disease, to which she completed a brief and comprehensive synopsis of. Her group paper is just a small
sample of her scholarship in the nursing program.

In my brief interactions with Ashley, I have observed her to be intelligent, motivated, and kind. As she
prepares for graduation this fall from the BSN program, she has expressed strong interests in the areas of
trauma, critical care and pediatrics. In addition to her studies, she a patient care technician at a hospital and
is a Certified Nursing Assistant. She is attracted to the dynamic and complex care of high-acuity nursing
and plans to pursue an advanced practice degree as an acute care nurse practitioner and nursing educator.

Ashley is passionate and interested in helping others. Despite her busy workload, she continues to serve
her nursing community by volunteering to serve as a peer mentor to others in the BSN program. She is a
wonderful role model and will be a positive addition to your team. I highly recommend Ashley for
consideration for a nursing position with your organization. If you have further questions, feel free to contact
me via E-mail: [email protected]. Thank you for your time and consideration of this applicant.

Sincerely,

Sharon Hom, PhD, MS, RN

Clinical Assistant Professor
