Watching football in a stadium is about more than just winning. More than that, watching football
live at a stadium is an amazing experience, beginning with the atmosphere as you leave for the
stadium, continuing with the match, and ending with you safely and comfortably returning home.
That is also how I feel when i watch Liverpool FC live at Anfield Stadium. In the Europe League
at the time, Liverpool faced Bordeaux of France. Aside from seeing my favorite team qualify for
the Europa League’s last 32, I felt at ease. It all started before the game began.

We don’t have to wait in line at the stadium counter to purchase a match ticket. Fans can order
it directly from the Club’s official website. I usually book tickets in advance for Liverpool
matches, complete with a choice of seating positions during the game. Following that, three
days after ordering, the tickets will be delivered directly to your home via post. Isn't it convenient
and simple?

When entering the stadium, the tickets must be scanned at the entrance by scanning machine.
This is done to prevent ticket leaks and forgeries. When fans arrive at the stands, they can
immediately take their seats according to the number on their tickets. One way to accomplish
this is to keep crowds from exceeding the stadium’s capacity.

Never underestimate the energy at Anfield Stadium when Liverpool FC plays. If you have the
chance to see the Red Merseyside club at home, try to arrive a few minutes before kick-off. For
me, one of the most priceless moments was when the song “You’ll Never Walk Alone” was
played before the game. This is one of the reasons why watching football in Liverpool is so
pleasant. When the anthem was played, I got goosebumps all over my body as a Kopites. The
entire stadium sang together.

At Anfield, there is a peculiar custom that occurs frequently during halftime. Many members of
the audience rose from their seats, flocking to the food court in the hallway before the entrance
to fill their stomachs with snacks like coffee or hot dogs. This incident is opposed to what
occurred in Indonesia. We usually call the food vendors who walk around the stands to
purchase tahu sumedang or mineral water. The food court at Anfield is also very comfortable
and welcoming. The neat queue exemplifies the typical British queuing culture.

A few minutes after the referee’s long whistle blew, the stewards rushed to direct the audience
to sterilize the stand area. In contrast to Indonesia, where we can stay in the stands after the
game. For the sake of cleanliness, the stands at Anfield Must be quickly sterilized after the
game is over. The audience did not need to be confused to go home when the match that night
was over.

When we simply asked which bus line would take us home, the stewards kindly answered our
questions. There is no such as us immigrants, not native with their scouse accent, lost after
watching football at Anfield.

Watching football in Liverpool is a complete package offering that provides comfort, as if

we were in the warmth of our own home, even though we are thousands of miles away from
home.

My friend, Bono, and I arrived at the Activity Center on Friday evening. The accommodation
wasn’t wonderful, but we had everything we needed (bed, blankets, food) and we were pleased
to be out of the city and in the fresh air.

On Saturday morning, we met the other ten members of our group. Cameron came along with
two friends, Kevin and Simon, while Sister Retno and Tiwuk came with Amanda. We had come
from various places and none of us knew the area.

We knew were going to spend the weekend outdoors, but none of us was sure exactly how. Half
of us spent the morning caving while the others went rock-climbing and then we changed at
lunchtime. Bono and I went to the caves first. Climbing out was harder than going in, but after a
good deal of pushing, we were out at last-covered in mud but pleased and exicited by what we
had done.
