Eddie Jordan was an Irish businessman, best known for founding the Jordan Grand Prix Formula 1 team. Born in Dublin in 1948, he initially pursued a career as a driver before stepping into team management. Jordan’s team, which competed from 1991 to 2005, gained widespread respect for punching above its weight and famously gave Michael Schumacher his F1 debut. Jordan later became a prominent commentator and analyst, working for the BBC and Channel 4. In 2024 he revealed that he had been diagnosed with prostate and bladder cancer. On March 20, 2025, he died at the age of 76.
