Nearly two months after a scandal erupted at a Coldplay concert, which uncovered a secret affair, the fallout persists for the couple at its center. Kristin Cabot, 52, who gained notoriety from a viral video in which she was seen cuddling with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, filed for divorce from her husband, Andrew Cabot, 60, about a month ago, after two years of marriage.
Kristin was Andrew’s third wife, and his second wife, Julia Cabot, 63, expressed little surprise at the turn of events. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Julia remarked that “I got loads of texts from people who heard what happened and 99% of them said the same word: karma.”
Julia and Andrew were married in 2014 and divorced after four years, following his 18-year marriage to his first wife, with whom he has two children. Reflecting on the scandal, Julia said she texted Andrew, who responded: “Her life is nothing to do with me,” claiming they had already separated despite still sharing a home.
She described him as “not a nice person,” adding, “Now something not nice [has] happened to him. I got loads of texts from people with that word: karma. It was like: what you give, you get.” Julia suggested Andrew, whose wealth is estimated at $5 million-$15 million, is primarily concerned about money and likely unbothered by the incident beyond the public embarrassment.
Julia and Andrew’s own divorce was contentious, dragging through the courts for two years until finalized in 2020, centered on disputes over money and property. Julia received $1 million after the sale of their shared home for $1.9 million, plus $600,000 in cash and a Jaguar.
Sources close to Andrew revealed he was on a business trip in Japan when the scandal broke online and only learned of his wife’s actions three days later upon his return. While some insiders claim the couple had been facing issues for months and discussed separation, another source insisted their relationship was not in trouble, noting: “Just a month earlier, they were telling everyone how in love they were.”
