David, who was abducted by Hamas during the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre at the Nova music festival in southern Israel, has been held in Gaza for 666 days. On Saturday, the terror group released two videos showing him visibly emaciated and forced to dig what appears to be his own grave inside a tunnel.

In the video, David describes his dire condition: “I have no idea if there will be food. I haven’t eaten for several consecutive days and I’ve been in a very, very difficult state for a very long time. Already several months.” A chart he holds up appears to log his meals in captivity, with several days marked “no food” and others “lentils.”
Jessie J also shared a post that included David’s photo and a quote from activist Rachel Moiselle: “I thought images of starved Jews digging their own graves would forever be confined to history books. To see the past become present is a horror. Never Again. Again.”
