What happened and how can we reproduce this issue?

Setup annotations similar to this. Confirm attributes in request builder is properly set up with the expected annotations inside the generated impl class.

What did you expect to happen?

in client plugin, annotations extension returns something when the request method is annotated, but returns empty instead.

request.attributes.getOrNull(annotationsAttributeKey) returns null.

Is there anything else we need to know about?

Previous version (2.6.5) works fine.
