Many prototyping efforts for registries and OCI may not include TLS enabled. This creates a problem for the oci collector whereby it attempts https operations to an http endpoint (and thus fails).

I would like the ability to configure TLS from the command flags - in particular to disable tls when necessary.

None currently - will continue to evaluate.

There may be potential arguments for service mesh fundamentals that coincide with this optionality.
