A tiny city is being terrorized by a power-mad family, and only your massive finger can save the day. In the hilariously chaotic shoot-’em-up Magenta Arcade II, touch and hold to smite wacky robots with your elemental powers. Shots spring from your fingertip—simply lift it to avoid incoming fire from mechanical alligators and airplane-flying toucans. Can you get the Magenta clan under your thumb?
What we love: The silliness. The citizens of this wee metropolis worship your mighty digit like a god. And boss battles against the Magenta family are a hoot, like when you’re flicking a giant soccer ball at the monstrous Goalboto. Score!
Quick tip: Each basic power suits a specific play style. Rain hurls watery blasts at great distance, while fire unleashes deadly short-range flame bursts. Leaves are the weakest of the bunch, but they handily home in on enemies once you boost your shot power.
Meet the creator: Based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, indie developer Long Hat House used their city as the setting for both 2015’s Magenta Arcade and its even weirder sequel. In fact, the stone obelisk that appears in Magenta Arcade II’s second boss battle can be seen from the studio’s office window.
